Join us in honoring the fallen with Memorial Day events and observances happening throughout the weekend.
Friday, May 27 at 8 PM- Candlelight Vigil at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, hosting by Rolling Thunder. Open to the public.
Saturday and Sunday May 28-29- Freedom Ride with Rolling Thunder Chapter XXXIV. This national motorcycle run event is open to Rolling Thunder members. Members of the public can enjoy vendors and entertainment throughout the weekend at the American Legion, 146 Broadhurst Rd in Jacksonville. The group will participate in rides Saturday and Sunday with a motorcycle ride escorted by law enforcement Sunday.
Monday, May 30 at 11 AM - Memorial Day Observance
Traditionally held at the Carolina Veterans Cemetary, this somber observance honors all those veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice. Hosted by Military Order of the Purple Heart Beirut Memorial Chapter # 642. Open to the public with the streaming to G10TV.
