Marine Corps Half Marathon

The Marine Corps Half Marathon returns to Camp Lejeune in as a “live” event on Saturday, September 18 at 7AM. The Marine Corps Half Marathon is held entirely aboard Camp Lejeune which makes it unique from other races and draws runners from across the country. The race’s scenic and flat course takes runners on a tour of different areas of the base, lending itself to helping runners of all abilities and levels set personal best records. There is also a 5-mile course option available. The Hero Mile is a mile-long stretch of the Half Marathon course that pays tribute to and remembers those service members who were killed while serving our country. Registration for the Half Marathon is now open, and the race is open to the public. Runners and spectators who do not currently possess credentialed base access will need to be vetted to obtain an event pass. Deadline for those needing Base Access is Aug. 31, 2021.
